Mission Statement
Das BONANZA FEST COLOGNE ist das Festival für trans und nicht-binäre Kunst und Performance in Deutschland.
2022 von Will Saunders und Hans Diernberger ins Leben gerufen, wird es seit 2023 von einer Künstlerischen Leitung aus der trans Community gemeinsam mit einem divers besetzten Team organisiert. Es lädt internationale trans und nicht-binäre Künstler*innen aus Musik, Performance, Film und Kunst nach Köln ein.
Das BONANZA FEST nimmt sich den Raum:
wir schaffen Öffentlichkeit und Bühne für trans und nicht-binäre Kunst und ihre Akteur*innen – eine Kunst, die selten in ihrer Vielfältigkeit gezeigt wird, sondern häufig nur als „die Differenz“ einen Platz findet.
Das BONANZA FEST versteht sich aus der Community für die Community und darüber hinaus:
wir möchten ein Ort sein, an dem Vernetzung und Austausch stattfinden und neue Perspektiven erfahrbar werden.
Das BONANZA FEST ist ein Ort der Inspiration und der Zusammengehörigkeit:
wir möchten Identifikationsmöglichkeiten, Vorbilder und Wege zeigen, die es für trans und nicht-binäre Menschen immer noch zu wenig gibt. Beim BONANZA FEST bist du nicht das Andere, sondern Eins von einer starken Gemeinschaft. Dabei ist das BONANZA FEST offen für alle Menschen. Das Festival folgt einer Braver Space Policy mit einem sichtbaren und ansprechbaren Awareness-Team.
BONANZA FEST COLOGNE is the festival for trans and non-binary art and performance in Germany.
Founded in 2022 by Will Saunders and Hans Diernberger, in 2023 it has been curated and organised by a group of people rooted in the trans community in collaboration with a diverse team. It invites international trans and non-binary artists from the fields of music, performance, film and fine arts to Cologne.
The BONANZA FEST takes the space:
we create a public sphere and a stage for trans and non-binary art and its protagonists - art that is rarely shown in its diversity, and still is often only represented as "the Difference".
The BONANZA FEST understands itself as from the community for the community and beyond:
we want to be a place where connection and exchange take place and new perspectives can be experienced.
The BONANZA FEST is a place of inspiration and belonging:
we want to show more possibilities for identification, role models and paths that still exist far too few for trans and non-binary people. At BONANZA FEST you are not the Other, but one of a strong community. The festival follows a Braver Space Policy with a visible and approachable awareness team.
