MEmory Me, MEmory You ist eine auf Musikimprovisationen basierende Performance mit Beteiligung des Publikums. "Das Publikum" gibt es nicht, denn alle treten gemeinsam auf. Die Teilnehmer *innen werden vor Beginn der Aufführung aufgefordert, ihre persönlichen Gegenstände mit sentimentalem Wert mitzubringen. Das können Plüschtiere, Souvenirs, Lieblingsaccessoires usw. sein, aber auch Listen aus ihrem Alltag. Dabei kann es sich um Einkaufslisten, Listen mit persönlichen Zielen oder To-Do-Listen handeln. Mit dieser Performance soll untersucht werden, wie wir unsere Identität und unsere Erinnerungen durch Objekte und Listen konstruieren. Wie strukturieren wir unsere Vergangenheit und erschaffen unser tägliches Leben neu. Bitte beachtet, dass alle diese Objekte und Listen mit größter Sorgfalt und Respekt behandelt werden. Bringt nur das mit, was ihr gerne mitbringen möchten und seid euch bewusst, dass es auf der Bühne verwendet wird. Es soll ein besonderer, lebendiger Raum für uns alle geschaffen werden, um die Gegenwart und die Vergangenheit zu erforschen.

Content Notes: Wir wissen nicht, welche Art von Gegenständen und Listen die Leute mitbringen werden. Es werden einige sehr persönliche Dinge auf der Bühne geteilt werden. Wir bitten euch, während der Aufführung keine Videos oder Fotos zu machen (unsere Festivalfotograf*innen halten es für euch fest), damit sich die Leute so sicher wie möglich fühlen können. Wir wollen kein Spektakel aus persönlichen Erfahrungen und Gefühlen machen, sondern einen shared space zusammen halten.
Angelica Summer (sie/er)ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin. Sie macht Drag, Performance, Kunst, Theater, Poesie und ist daneben auch politisch aktiv. In letzter Zeit interessiert sich Angelica sehr für die Überschneidung zwischen dem musikalischen und dem performativen Element. Was wäre, wenn es zwischen diesen beiden einen Raum gäbe, den es zu erforschen lohnt? Und was wäre, wenn das Publikum daran teilhaben könnte? Was würde dann passieren? Angelica möchte sich selbst und das Publikum herausfordern, über das Gewöhnliche hinauszudenken. Als Drag Queen möchte sie auch einen anderen Zugang zu Drag zeigen - einen, der sich auf Performativität und Musik konzentriert.

MEmory Me, MEmory You is a music improvisational based performance with the participation of the audience. ‘The audience’ does not exist, because everyone is performing together. The participants are intivited prior to the beginning of the performance to bring their personal objects of sentimental value. Those can be stuffed toys, souvenirs, favourite accessories etc. and lists from their everyday life. Those could be grocery lists, lists with personal goals, to-do lists. This performance aims to explore how we construct our identity and our memories through objects and lists. How do we structure our past and recreate our daily life. Please, note that all of those objects and lists will be handled with the utmost care and respect. Bring only what you feel comfortable with bringing while being aware that it would be used on stage. To open up a special, vurnerable space for all of us to to explore the present and the past.

Content Notes: We don't know what kind of items and lists people will bring. There will be some very personal things shared on stage. We ask you not to take videos or photos during the performance (our festival photographers will capture it for you) so that people can feel as safe as possible. We don't want to make a spectacle out of personal experiences and feelings, we want to keep a shared space together.
Angelica Summer (she/he) is a multidisciplinary artist. She does drag, performance, art, theater, poetry and is also very politically active. Lately, Angelica has been very much interested in the intersection between the music and the performance element. She is interested in exploring spaces inbetween those two to find a genre that suits her own artistic curiosity. What if there is a space between those two worth exploring? And what if the audience could take part in it? What would happen then?Angelica wants to challenge herself and the audience into thinking outside of the ordinary. While being a drag queen herself, she also wants to show a different approach to drag - one focused on performativity and music.
